Ultrasonography in the pregnant mare

A two-day course "Ultrasonography of the pregnant mare" will take place in the State Stud Marbach, Germany on Thursday, February 15th and Friday, February 16th, 2024.  The practice-oriented course is addressed to colleagues, aiming to deepen their theoretical knowledge and practical skills in ultrasonography of the pregnant mare. Seminars and hands-on courses can be booked individually.

Besides state of the art lectures, discussion rounds, small group case discussions and hands-on sessions we will enjoy networking within the international group in the beautiful environment of the traditional State stud in Southern Germany.

ReproTalks Freestyle - Live-online discussion and on demand 2025

In the new online format „ReproTalks Freestyle“ on February 25th and 26th 2025 international experts in the field of equine reproduction share the latest news, personal experiences and ideas on specific topics or clinical cases – chosen by the participants. What they usually discuss late at night at the bar during conference days, will happen in a pleasant atmosphere among friends online. 
Participants are invited to choose specific topics via mentimeter questionnaire (see QR codes below) or send their own clinical cases via email  (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.until February 21st.

The first discussion round on Tuesday, February 25th, 2025 focuses on the non-pregnant mare, assisted reproductive technologies and the stallion. The speakers from Italy, France, Spain, Netherlands, Ireland, Great Britain, USA, Australia and Germany really enjoy exchanging their personal experiences from practice and evidence-based knowledge in the new online format “ReproTalks Freestyle” and developing new ideas on diagnostic and therapeutic approaches together.

Pregnant Mare and Foal III - on demand

The BEVA approved online continuing education course program covers further aspects of the pregnant mare and foal, including medication in pregnant mares, deworming and feeding pregnant mares and foals, and infectious diseases (EAV, EHV and lung infections in the foal).

Fourteen internationally recognized specialists working in practice and clinical research present online seminars in advanced gynaecology. Each presentation includes extensive pictures and videos, discuss clinical cases and review recent literature.

The seminars were recorded and recordings are available to course participants on demand. Access to the recordings is possible until July 1st 2025. You can start with the seminar series whenever it fits you best.

News from ISER XIII and Hands-on „Advanced Equine Reproduction“ Warendorf

A four-day course "News from ISER XIII and Advanced Equine Reproduction" (English) will take place in Warendorf-Milte, Germany on Thursday, September 7th to Sunday, September 10th, 2023.  The practice-oriented course is addressed to colleagues, aiming to deepen their theoretical knowledge and practical skills in equine reproduction. Seminars and hands-on courses can be booked individually.

Besides increasing your knowledge in a Journal club "News from ISER in Brazil 2023", small group lectures, discussion rounds and hands-on sessions we will enjoy an exciting social program (European Championships Dressage 2023 in Riesenbeck, Visit to State Stud Warendorf, Zoo tour "Behind the scenes and reproductive medicine in wildlife animals") and networking in the international group.

On Thursday afternoon, September 7th the journal club „News from ISER XIII in Brazil“ will summarize new studies with a high practice impact presented at the International Symposium for Equine Reproduction (ISER) in Brazil 2023.

The seminar „Advanced Equine Reproduction“ on Friday and Saturday, September 8th-9th will focus on practice-oriented lectures, panel discussions, small group clinical case discussions and debates about controversial topics in equine reproduction. Online seminars on demand allow individual preparation for the on site-course and deeper background knowledge.

In the afternoon hands-on courses (wetlabs), the problem mare (uterine problems and ovarian disorders), hysteroscopy, fetal sexing, monitoring of the high-risk pregnancy, advanced twin management as well as embryotransfer and Ovum-pick-up (OPU) are demonstrated and practiced on patients in small groups.

Furthermore, up to 10-15 partcipants can participant in practical sessions regarding Reproductive Surgery on Saturday September 9th and Sunday September 10th.

A visit to the State Stud Warendorf, including a Barbecue, Caipirinha and Samba music night, night tours to the medieval cities Warendorf and Muenster, a tour to Muenster Zoo („Behind the scenes and reproductive medicine in wildlife animals“) and the Visit of the Freestyle competition at the European Dressage Championships in nearby Riesenbeck are planned as special socializing highlights.
